The Little Band

Ceilidh is the Celtic word for a party. When The Little Band plays for a Ceilidh, they like to get everyone up on the floor dancing and enjoying themselves. They work with a dance caller, who will explain all the dances to you, so don't worry if you've never done anything like this before. The band usually work with their own P.A. system which adds clarity and balance to the music, without excessive volume. They are always sensitive to their clients' needs and their flexibility allows them to cater for your needs.
The Little Band was originally formed in the late seventies as a three-piece band. Over the years, there have been many line-up changes but the original spirit of the band has always been retained. The current line-up has been together for five years. In that time they have become one of the busiest ceilidh bands in the North of England, playing for parties, fund raisers and wedding receptions.

The band features an expert fiddle player, a driving rhythmical guitarist, a soaring harmony flautist, and an exciting dynamic accordionist.

With music, dancing and general merry making, if you don't have fun with The Little band, you should seek medical help!
